While you’re waiting for the Android 14 update for your Nokia devices, it’s good to remember which devices will receive the update. G-series and X-series phones will receive two and three years of new OS updates, respectively, while some of the more affordable C-series phones won’t get new updates. Covered by two years of security patches.
Since February 1, Nokia Mobile (HMD) has announced many smartphones, but not many phones will receive Android 14. The devices expected to receive the update are:
That means only nine devices will receive Android 14. This number is not large, so it shouldn’t take long for HMDs to be delivered. However, given that HMD is not a super-large company and all software variations must be reviewed and tested, delays are to be expected.
According to Geekbench test results, apart from the Nokia G42, which has already received the A14 update, the Nokia X30, Nokia G60, Nokia G22, and recently the Nokia G11 Plus have been tested with the A14 update. For the Nokia X10, Nokia X20, Nokia XR20, and Nokia XR21, HMD must continue to test OS updates as they have not yet appeared on Geekbench. Perhaps HMD will release it by his MWC 2024, but that period is rapidly shrinking. As the saying goes, “better late than never.” However, I would like to add that it is more important to prioritize quality over speed to avoid potential bugs.
There’s a great website that tracks updates, so you can check them out here. The site androidupdatetracke is great, but don’t expect to find answers to the questions you want most.
Anyway, if I missed the call, please contact me in the comments.
