Bryce Bennett led the North American team with 207 points this season with two podium finishes, including a win and third place at Val Gardena/Greden. He is ranked 6th.
Teammate Ryan Cochran-Siegle follows in 10th place with 172 points.
Alpine Canada Alpine’s Cameron Alexander finished 11th with 145 points, securing the only North American male podium finish.
James “Jack” Crawford was ranked 12th, with an impressive top-10 finish but no podium.
These four skiers, Bennett, Cochran-Siegle, Alexander and Crawford, are the only North Americans in the top 25 and guaranteed an invitation to Saalbach.
Italy’s Christoph Innerhofer is in 25th place, just above Jared Goldberg of the U.S. Ski Team, who is 28th.
Goldberg also faces stiff competition from rising Swiss star Franjo von Allmen for a spot in Saalbach. However, he could perform well in Hvitfjell and qualify for Saalbach.
No chance to advance to the finals
Other North American racers such as Sam Morse (USA), Wiley Maple (USA), Jeffrey Reed (Canada), Brody Seager (Canada), and Kyle Negomil (USA) were ranked lower and had to be outstanding to reach the finals. Performance is required. For them, there is probably only one race left in the 2024 World Cup downhill season.
