London School of Economics and Political Science is accepting applications for its groundbreaking project Master’s degree in Urban Design and Social Sciencesalso known as city program.
Focused on social and spatial relationships within urban environments, this innovative and interdisciplinary program situates the challenges of urban design and development within social, economic, ecological, and political contexts.
Launched in 1998, the program supports the development of urban practitioners and academics who can work across disciplines to have a transformative impact on cities as both social and built environments. Masu.
Based in central London, we are unique as a studio-based Master’s program with a strong orientation to both practice and social science. The program brings together students from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds, reflecting the wide range of skills involved in today’s urban policy, design, and development. Each year, approximately 40 percent of our admissions come from the fields of architecture, urban design, planning, and engineering, and approximately 60 percent come from backgrounds in social sciences, business and economics, law, humanities, and natural sciences.
