Red Bank Catholic, No. 3 in the NJ.com Top 20 rankings, defeated No. 20 Union City 61-37 in the Coaches’ Choice USA Shore Challenge in Holmdel.
Sophomore Adi Niemczyk led the Caseys with a team-high 16 points during the win. Laura Giordano followed with 13 points for Casey’s, and Katie Riggio finished with nine points.
RBC (18-3) has won 11 of its last 12 games.
Jada Guerra scored a game-high 17 points to lead Union City (14-7).
Wall 74, Notre Dame 46
Seniors Shayne Eldridge and Emily Tvrdik led Wall to its third straight win against Notre Dame in Holmdel.
Eldridge scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed five rebounds in the game. Tvrdik recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 assists in the Crimson Knights’ victory.
Marisa Amitier and Grace Horobinko also scored 10 points in the win for the Crimson Knights.
Wall (16-5) is 9-3 in his last 12 games.
Meghan Connolly led Notre Dame (14-6) with a team-high 13 points. Isabella Diaz had nine points and five rebounds for Ireland.
Franklin 54, Holmdel 52
Franklin rallied from a nine-point deficit in the second half to earn its 10th win of the season against host Holmdel.
The Warriors cut the lead against Holmdel to four points in the fourth quarter, and outscored the Hornets 16-10 in the final half, resulting in a come-from-behind victory.
Alia Sankins led Franklin with a team-high 16 points, followed by Iyana Cotton with 14 points. Alyssa Myers added 12 points for the Warriors’ victory.
Franklin (10-11) has won six of its past eight games.
Allison Cannon led all scorers with a game-high 20 points and had six rebounds and five assists for Holmdel (11-8). Mackenzie Teevan had 16 points and eight rebounds during the contest for the Hornets.
Hightstown 44, Middletown South 37
Highstown defeated Middletown South 17-7 in the second half for its fifth straight win in Holmdel.
Abby Michier and Penelope Swarn had double-doubles in Hightstown’s win. Michier had a game-high 16 points and 14 rebounds, and Swarn had 10 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
Kaitlyn Nagle also scored 12 points for the Rams in contention.
Hightstown (17-3) is 7-1 in its last eight games.
Caitlin White had a team-high 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists for Middletown South (8-10). Erin Meyerhofer scored 13 points during the contest for the Eagles.
