Each year, National Marriage Week in the United States and World Marriage Day provide an opportunity for the Catholic Church to focus on and celebrate the vocation to marriage and family life. This year, National Marriage Week in the United States will be celebrated from February 7th to 14th, and World Marriage Day, commemorated on the second Sunday of February, will be celebrated on February 11th.
The theme of this year’s celebration of National Marriage Week is “Love Beyond Words,” a reminder of the self-sacrificing love in marriage that is rooted in the commitment couples make in marriage.
Each day of National Marriage Week, digital content will be shared on the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ social media channels. X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram. In addition, resources such as flyers/newsletter inserts and social media graphics in English and Spanish are made available at the discretion of the diocese by the USCCB’s Office of Laity, Marriage, Family Life, and Youth Affairs. These can be found at his ForYourMarriage.org/celebrate-national-marriage-week.
Other USCCB resources created for believers that uphold marriage as a lifelong union of one man and one woman can be accessed through dedicated websites: ForYourMarriage.org, PorTuMatrimonio.org, and LoveMeansMore.org. Masu.
Launched in 2010, National Wedding Week USA is part of an international event that mobilizes individuals, organizations, and businesses for a common purpose: strengthening marriage in our communities and impacting our culture.
