On the second night, wrestlemania 40 Less than 24 hours after losing to The Rock and Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins fights Drew McIntyre and the World starting tonight (Sunday, April 7, 2024) at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They will compete for the heavyweight championship. Night 1 main event tag team match. As McIntyre says, this is probably the easiest money he’s ever made.
It would also be about fulfilling his own dream of being able to watch and appreciate his big championship winning moment in front of paying fans.
He certainly understood that.
At least for a moment.
The match started with a Claymore Kick and Squash Bullying, but Rollins was able to kick out. DM Hank takes care of Seth, gets a call from his wife at ringside, and tweets:
This man is in control.
They immediately spammed the finisher and revealed both results. Rollins must have hit the Stomp four or five times. One of those times was on the announcer’s table outside. Upon bringing McIntyre back into the ring, he immediately walked toward another Claymore, one of the many Claymores in the match.
Seth almost asked for another one and this time Drew put a sniff on it.
And this earned him a 3 count.
he really did it.
With a glint in his eye, Rollins turned around with tears in his eyes and walked away, telling McIntyre, “You deserve it.”
Naturally, McIntyre was supposed to go to ringside to confront Punk and tell him that if he got in the ring with him, it would end his career. He hit him with a “suck it” punch, which was enough for Punk to pull his leg out from under him and rip the brace off his arm, sending McIntyre flying with it.
He then blew a kiss to McIntyre’s wife as Damien Priest’s music played. He cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and went on to win the title while Punk laughed and watched.
Oh my god.
