2024 Coach Certification Revalidation (CRoC)
As in previous years, World Triathlon Certified Coaches will once again be required to complete online learning tasks between February 1 and March 31, 2024 to meet revalidation requirements. In addition to current anti-doping updates, this year’s focus is on ‘Body Confident Coaching’. Participants will also be required to complete the new nutrition module if they have not already done so (this resource will be optionally available within coaches’ courses starting August 2023).
Completing the current revalidation anti-doping task qualifies you for the same event certification as completing the High Performance Coach Anti-Doping Education 2024 course. Coaches who complete the revalidation are not required to take the course and can easily qualify for the World Triathlon Her event.

Annual report on coach education to national federations
World Triathlon Development provides each national federation with a detailed annual coaching education report on educational outcomes, including Level 1 and Level 2 completion details, Level 2 qualifications, and annual revalidation status for all coaches in the database. I continue to do so. The report will be sent just before the start of the Coach Certification Revalidation (CRoC) process in 2024 to ensure that NF representatives are fully informed, take responsibility for the education and development of their coaches, and plan accordingly to the current situation. The purpose is to enable you to stand up. .
Looking at TRI coach education in 2023 by the numbers
World Triathlon Development will offer 15 in-person courses in 2023 (11 at Level 1 and 4 at Level 2) with a fully online revalidation opportunity for continued use of expired and pre-2014 certificates. I started two. Olympic Solidarity established six of the Level 1 courses.
A total of 206 new coach certificates were issued, 157 (76%) at Level 1 and 49 (24%) at Level 2. Of the successful applicants, 135 (66%) were male and 71 (34%) were female. Olympic Solidarity has enabled 75 people to earn the World Triathlon Level 1 Coaching Certificate.
