DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — World’s Fair will be held the first weekend in May again this year. This year again, event organizers are encouraging guests to leave well-nourished and well-educated.
The three-day festival begins at 5pm on May 3 and runs until 6pm on Sunday, with dozens of exhibitors representing many countries.
On the main stage, performers perform dances from Polynesian, Celtic, Indian and other cultures. The menu features ethnic dishes such as Hungarian cabbage rolls, Nigerian akara and Indian samosas.
Many of these vendors will also sell items such as Scottish T-shirts, Mexican crafts, and Vietnamese coffee.
Children can pick up their passports and record all the countries they visited at the event. Each booth will offer learning experiences in exchange for passport stamps. Their names can then be entered into a prize draw.
On Friday nights, adults can pick up a Beer Passport and sample 12 2-ounce beers for just $15. Guests can vote for their favorite beer and enter a drawing for prizes. We have beers from the Philippines, Japan, the Netherlands, and more.
Three-day packages ($12-$18) and advance tickets ($5-$8) are now available online. Advance tickets are valid only on the day of the event. Pre-sale ends at noon on May 3rd. At that point, full-priced one-day tickets for him ($8-10) will be available.
The World’s Fair will be held at the Greene County Expo Center, 120 Fairgrounds Road in Xenia. In 2022, after being at the Dayton Convention Center for many years, the event organizer relocated to the Greene County Fairgrounds.
