These are iPhone 14 models, but don’t expect them to be identical.
Apple may soon introduce the world’s most affordable AI smartphone when it ships the fourth-generation iPhone SE, but it’s unclear when that will arrive.
What do you expect?
Although there is no certainty at all, current speculation regarding the new smartphone is that it will remain in the mid-range market. The latest reliable speculation comes from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who predicts the device will be larger than before, with a 6.1-inch OLED panel similar to the iPhone 14. .
In fact, he said: It will be a slightly modified version of that phone. He also seems to think it will be equipped with his Apple-designed 5G chip, which seems to contradict what we’ve heard previously about that part of the development.
Of course, with a 6.1-inch display, it’s natural to expect the device to be curved like current iPhones. It will have a single-lens camera, but it is likely to come with a larger 48MP module.
Whether it will feature Face ID remains to be seen, but I can’t help but imagine that Apple will have a few boxes of a second user FaceID module to recycle into these models by now, and I can’t help but think logically. The production process for those modules should also begin in the near future.
But who put AI in the iPhone?
This is all great, of course, but it’s also worth making an educated guess about the processors inside these devices. I’m guessing this is an A15 chip.
This is interesting because it would be a very nice upgrade to the existing SE series, but it’s also interesting from a different perspective: AI.
What this means is that the iPhone SE, despite all its limitations (single-lens camera and slightly older chip), is still an AI-beating smartphone on the edge of this price category.
I really don’t think competitors can easily beat this product. This product will inevitably be fully capable of performing whatever AI features Apple plans to introduce at his WWDC 2024.
AI smartphones are expected to define the market in the coming years, and the iPhone SE could go a long way in helping the company maintain some ground in this space. All of this costs him around (estimated) $449 per unit, or even less with a contract with a carrier. That’s why I think this may become (one of) the most popular AI phones in the world.
It’s exciting content.
