It’s no surprise that some of Europe’s most touristy capitals sell some of Europe’s most expensive pints of booze. Topping the list for the most expensive pint is Iceland’s capital Reykjavik, charging a wallet-shrinking €10.07. As you move down the list of Europe’s top 10 most expensive cities, a pint doesn’t get much cheaper. Oslo, Norway costs €9.51 per pint, London, UK costs €7.60 per pint and Dublin, Ireland costs €6.50 per pint. If you want to go drinking in Dublin, you’ll need to bring a pot of gold to the pub.
But even off the beaten path, there’s plenty to keep you occupied. Especially the price of beer. In Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, he can buy a pint for just 2.16 euros, but that’s not the cheapest price. In Sofia, Bulgaria, you can buy a pint for less than 2 euros, or a wallet-fattening 1.94 euros. If that’s still too expensive, the cheapest pint of wine in Europe is in Minsk, Belarus. A pint costs just €1.05 there.
