WhatsApp has released an update that adds a handy navigation bar at the bottom of the app for Android users. The new bottom bar design makes navigation within the app easier and provides quick access to new messages and other features offered by the Meta-owned chat app. Additionally, this update complies with Android’s Material Design guidelines, so it looks good in other parts of the OS.

WhatsApp’s new navigation bar

This feature has been available in beta for some time. As announced, it is finally coming to the stable WhatsApp channel. WhatsApp on X. This means all users will now be able to enjoy smoother navigation within popular apps. The bar has had a bit of a bumpy road to get to this point, as it appeared in the app’s beta channel in June and disappeared shortly thereafter. He returned in September, but then disappeared again, appearing on Beta’s channel about a week ago.

The navigation bar has four tabs. You can quickly switch between the main features of the application: chat, updates, community, and calls. While chats, updates, and calls were more prominently displayed in the old menu, the community was smaller and less visible.

WhatsApp describes the new bottom menu bar as “closer to the thumb and easier on the eyes,” and I agree with that assessment. I’ve gotten used to navigating apps through the bottom menu, as most apps switch between them. On larger smartphones, it can be a pain to reach the top of the screen, so placing buttons at the bottom allows you to get where you need to go quickly and efficiently.

WhatsApp users are already seeing the new menu bar, so you can use it right away by downloading the latest version of the app on your device.

Other WhatsApp beta features

WhatsApp beta testers have also discovered other new features coming to the app. for example,[チャット]new to tab[おすすめの連絡先]There’s a section, and it seems like a great way to find people you might know (as if I don’t already have enough messages on various chat apps).

If you want to try out WhatsApp’s beta channel for yourself and try out the latest features, you can check it out on the app’s store page on Google Play. However, as of this writing, the beta pool is said to be full and WhatsApp is not currently accepting additional testers. It might be worth bookmarking that page to see if you can access it in the future.
