Two Wisconsin stations are debuting new weekly lifestyle programs for a limited time.

“Dear Wisconsin” will premiere on April 7, 2024 at 10:30 p.m. on WDJT in Milwaukee. Licensed by Racine and Milwaukee, it will air on WMLW on Sundays. The show takes its name from Milwaukee’s Deer District, the city’s entertainment and sports area where Fiserv Forum is based.

Both stations are owned by Weigel Broadcasting, with WDJT, also known as CBS 58, a CBS affiliate, and WMLW, known on the air as “The M,” an independent.

The station’s website describes the show as “a fun, fresh, 30-minute lifestyle show centered around the food, fun, entertainment and people that make Milwaukee’s Deer District the great place it is.”

Hosted by Nicole Sedivy and Anthony Foster.

“You don’t need to know anything about basketball to enjoy ‘Dear Wisconsin,'” Ann Brown, executive vice president and station general manager, said in a statement. Nicole and Anthony are the perfect personalities to guide viewers through the Deer District.

“With select Bucks games currently airing on WMLW, ‘Dear Wisconsin’ is the perfect companion piece to showcase all the fun surrounding the Fiserv Forum in downtown Milwaukee,” the statement continued. ing.

The show is scheduled to run until June 30, 2024.

As a logo, the show uses a simplified synopsis of the state of Wisconsin and blocky text that reads “DEER WI,” but specifically includes a comma at the end, like a letter greeting (“Dear Wisconsin (as in “to”). There’s a star inside that comma, which conveniently coincides with the approximate location of Milwaukee (Racine is a little further south, but for illustrative purposes, the design still works).
