USA Boxing, Blippi and Mountain Film Festival to be held in Pueblo in April

If you’re looking for something to do in Pueblo, check out our list of events. The event begins Friday with the Steel City Music Showcase and runs through April 25 with his SoCo YoGo for teens.

Friday, April 12th

Steel City Music Showcase in downtown Pueblo

La Vera Union Plaza, Gold Dust Saloon, Sacred Bean, Fuel & Iron Food Hall | April 12th and April 13th 6-10pm | A total of 34 bands will perform a wide range of music including rock, folk, country, hip-hop, indie, singer-songwriter, blues, and reggae. The event will include vendors as well as food and beverages.Tickets will be sold at the following prices 1 day $20 or both days $35 About the festival. Saturday, April 13th

Sumi-e workshop at BloBack Gallery

131 Spring Street | 11am to 3pm | Sumi-e, or black ink painting, is a Japanese art form. The lecturer will be Mr. Tei Kobayashi, a world-famous artist. For more information, please visit Blobackgallery.com.

Pueblo EV Ride & Drive (Main Street Parking Lot)

128 S. Main St. | 1-3 p.m. | Drive Electric Colorado hosts events for those interested in owning an electric vehicle. You can test drive various EV vehicles in a pressure-free environment.

201 WB Street |1:30pm | The film “Cenicero, circa 1856” will be shown.

Live music at BloBack Gallery

131 Spring Street | 6pm | Live music by The Black Cats and Harpoon the Whale. The cost is $10. Open to all ages.

Tuesday, April 16th

Light of Hope Luncheon at Pueblo Convention Center

320 Central Main Street | 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. | In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, a Court Appointed Special Advocate Luncheon will be held. Learn about the program from CASA volunteer Keith Wiggins. There is no cost Please join us as an opportunity to pledge your support. For reservations, please call 719-583-6326. USA Boxing International Invitational @ Pueblo Convention Center

320 Central Main Street | Noon and 6pm sessions daily from April 16th to 19th, final session at noon April 20th | Tournaments will be featured 5 U.S. athletes eligible for the Olympics Top fighters from 17 countries will also participate. All sessions, including semi-finals and finals, Free and open to the public. This will be Team USA’s final event before heading to the 2024 Paris Olympics. Fight schedules and fighter information will be announced at www.usaboxing.org.

Wednesday, April 17th

Battle of Ludlow Program at Pueblo Heritage Museum

201 WB Street | 7pm | Craig Staley and Mark Headley discuss the aftermath of the Battle of Ludlow and how it set the tempo for future conflicts between the federal government, mining companies, and miners.

Thursday, April 18th

Open mic at BloBack Gallery

131 Spring Street | Applications open at 6pm, performances from 6:30pm to 9pm | Events are held on the third Thursday of each month and are open free In charge.

Blippi, Wonderful World Tour at Pueblo Memorial Hall

1 City Hall Location | 6pm | Watch Blippi and special guest Mika discover what makes different cities unique and special. There will be plenty of monster trucks, excavators, and garbage trucks. Get ready to wriggle and dance your way through this brand new musical party with OJ Twist. Ticket prices range from $22 to $72 Available at pueblomemorialhall.com/events.

Filmmakers will bring their work to Pueblo from April 18 to 20 as part of the Mountain Film on Tour festival.

Thursday, April 18th

Mountainfilm on Tour Film Festival held at CSU Pueblo

Buell Communication Center, 2200 Bonforte Blvd. | April 18 and April 19 at 7 p.m., and April 20 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. | The Mountain Film on Tour Film Festival returns after a three-year hiatus to present 35 culturally rich, adventurous and inspiring documentary short films. Each session has 8 to 10 movies ranging from 3 to 26 minutes in length. Saturday matinees are family-friendly events. Friday, April 19th

Girls Mic’d Up at Sangre de Cristo Art Center

210 N. Santa Fe | Doors open at 6pm, program at 7pm | This event allows Pueblo women to share their stories. Includes silent action, drinks and snacks. The event is for ages 16+ for her as some stories may be triggers. One high school senior will receive a $500 scholarship. Advance tickets are $25 per person or $45 for two tickets at jlofpueblo.org/girls-micd-up. Tickets purchased at the door are $30.

Little Women will be the Broadway Theater League's final show of the season on April 19 at Pueblo Memorial Hall.

Little Women of Pueblo Memorial

1 City Hall Location | Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Show at 7 p.m. | Little Women is a timeless and captivating musical that follows the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy March, each determined to live life on their own terms. Tickets start at $32 and can be purchased in person at the Pueblo Memorial Hall box office or online at etix.com.

Saturday, April 20th

Wing and Wheel Car Show and Fly-in at Pueblo Weisbrod Aviation Museum

31001 Magnuson Avenue | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Fly-in show and car show featuring live music, vendors, and food trucks. The cost is $10.

Earth Day Celebration at Pueblo Community College

Student Center, Fortino Ballroom, 900 W. Orman Ave. | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | The event will feature environmental information and tips on sustainable living and gardening. Live music, drum circle From noon to 2 p.m., it will include an informative documentary about the benefits of renewable energy.The event is Free and open to the public.

Pueblo Has Talent Semifinals at Pueblo Memorial Hall

1 City Hall location | 2pm | The top 50 contestants will compete for a spot in the finals, and only 25 couples will be selected to advance to this “America’s Got Talent” themed competition. The participation fee is $15. The final will be held on April 27th.

Concert at Blowback Gallery

131 Spring Street | Doors open at 6pm | Starring Patchwork Jack and Charlie Marks. Cost is $10 And this event is open to all ages.

Americana/Blues Concert at Blues Ale House

120 Riverwalk Place | 7-10 p.m. | Juno Award winner Ray Bonneville of Austin, Texas, will share the stage with Seth Walker of Asheville, North Carolina. Each artist will perform their own set as well as perform as a duo. Bonneville’s lifelong hard-earned experiences working as a studio musician for 20 years, playing in loud rooms with blues bands, and living hard coalesced with his urge to write his own music. His latest record is “On the Blind Side.” Walker is a prolific contemporary Americana artist, to date he has released 10 albums, reaching the top 20 of Americana on his radio charts and Billboard’s Blues albums on his charts. Sunday, April 21st

Pueblo Puzzle Off at Fuel & Iron Food Hall

200 S. Union Ave. | 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Solo competition, 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Team competition | Pueblo Puzzleworks will be hosting a speed puzzle contest. Solo contestants work on his 300-piece puzzle. A team of two works on his $500 piece puzzle. Participation fee is $15 for individuals and $25 for teams. A free soft drink coupon is also included. Total prize money: $500 will be awarded. Please register in advance Pueblo Puzzleworks, 204 S. Union Ave.

Monday, April 22nd

Pueblo Stamp Club Meeting at Rawlings Library

100 E. Abriendo Ave., Thurston Conference Room | 1-3 p.m. | The topic is Australian stamps.The meeting is Free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. We welcome donations of U.S. and foreign stamps for free distribution at club meetings.

Thursday, April 25th

SoCo YoGo from Broback Gallery

131 Spring Street | 4-7 p.m. | Presented by the Pueblo Health Department to celebrate the release of the new app. The festival also includes a dunk tank more. free And it’s open to all ages.
