USA Archery receives multiple grants to begin outreach efforts in 2024

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Archery (USAA) receives two multi-state conservation grants in 2024 to increase support for college programs and grow archery among underrepresented populations. made it possible.

These generous grants, courtesy of the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA) and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), follow the incredible success of multi-state conservation grants last year. Archery is for everyone! National awareness campaign in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment, LLC.

2024 Grants

  • College archery programs to recruit and retain 18-24 year olds
  • Increasing the diversity of archery instructors nationwide and increasing the participation of underrepresented populations

For colleges, USAA will recruit 10 new schools and, through a grant program, will provide them with the programming, equipment, and instructor certifications they need to run successful college archery programs.

In addition, USA Archery received funding to certify and train 30 instructors in urban and suburban areas. These instructors will also be provided with program materials and equipment to support the launch of his new Explore Archery program and his USAA club.

“USAA is grateful to the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA) and the U.S. Archery Association for these grants, which have enabled USAA to establish new partners,” said Mary Emmons, director of sport performance and operations for USA Archery. We are grateful to the Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).” Certify new instructors and expand participation opportunities for youth and universities across the country.
