Thinking about switching from an iPhone to an Android smartphone? Before making a permanent switch from Apple to the other side, you may want to try out other ecosystems to see if it makes sense for you. Recommended. If you can’t get an Android smartphone to try it out, you can simulate Android directly on your iPhone. Get a feel for what a foldable smartphone feels like!
Samsung has its own Try Galaxy web app, which you can save as a demo app on your iPhone’s home screen. You can try the latest One UI skin on the latest Samsung Galaxy S series and Galaxy Z Fold models. Setup is simple and straightforward, and works with iPhone 7 and newer models running the latest iOS software updates.
Even if you don’t plan on switching to an Android smartphone, it’s fun to find out what it’s like to own a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Preview One UI 6.1 on Samsung Galaxy S24 series
Visit trygalaxy.com in your iPhone’s Safari browser. Samsung tells you to use Safari, but you can also use any third-party browser that supports Add to Home Screen, such as Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. If you’re reading this article on a computer, open trygalaxy.com and scan the QR code with your iPhone to get started.
On a Try Galaxy web page, tap the share icon in the Safari toolbar and select from the share sheet.[ホーム画面に追加]You will be prompted to select. The process may be slightly different for some third-party browsers.
Then tap Add and the Try Galaxy icon will appear on your home screen.
Tap the “Try Galaxy” bookmark on your home screen and watch the magic happen. Press “Next” several times to start the actual demo. This demo simulates a Galaxy S smartphone (Samsung’s One UI 6.1 on Samsung Galaxy S24 series models) with the latest Android skin.
During the demo, you can swipe the screen, tap icons, and browse settings. You cannot open the actual app, only a simulation of the app. However, you can still do things like save wallpapers to your iPhone’s Photos library.

You’ll notice that some apps in the demo are more interactive than others. The content you can view within the app, such as photos and messages, is generic; the camera doesn’t actually work.
As you explore and try out the features, you’ll notice new texts arriving in your inbox. These are demo messages designed to showcase some of Samsung’s messaging features. You can reply, but you can’t add attachments or send photos. The selection of interactive stickers you can try is limited.
When you use the Phone app, you type in a number like we saw above and it looks like you’re actually making a call, but it doesn’t actually make a call to the number you’re dialing.
The Galaxy Themes app lets you try out 9 different themes (default and 8 more) that show you how to customize your new Android smartphone.

Preview One UI 6.1 on Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5
The most exciting thing about this demo is that you get to explore how the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 (Stylized Z Fold5) phone works. You will need two mobile phones for this to work. If you have two, follow the “Try Your Galaxy” installation process on both.
Once the Try Galaxy shortcut is ready on both screens, open the web app on both phones. Within the app, tap the Fold Experience demo app, then tap “Yes, he has two iPhones.” Then select the phone you want to use on the left and the phone you want on the right. Once set, tap “Generate Code” on the left phone, tap “Enter Code” on the right phone, enter the code, and press “Start”.

Click Get Started to try out three apps:
- A game where you can try out air hockey on two mobile phones.

- Immersive view allows you to enjoy video demos on two screens.

- Multitasking. Drag and drop apps to different screens to display two apps at the same time. One screen is for messages and the other screen is for gallery. Then you can try sharing photos and videos without closing the screen.

This isn’t Samsung’s first demo for the iPhone. In 2021, Samsung released an “iTest” demo to audiences in New Zealand, but it was available worldwide.
