HOLLAND — With the big event just weeks away, Tulip Time has been named the third “most spectacular” flower festival in the country by USA Today, behind Mackinac Island’s Lilac Festival and the Cincinnati Zoo’s Zoo Blooms.
Tulip Time, as the name suggests, is located along 8th Street, Centennial Park, Window on the Waterfront, and Nellis Dutch Village, Windmill Island Gardens, and Verdale Tulip Garden.

This year’s festival will be held from May 4th to 12th, but it’s too early to tell whether the tulips will be in full bloom during the event. Some flowers have already started blooming at the end of an unseasonably warm winter. The city’s last “Stem Fest” was in his 2012, and the event was mostly embraced by tourists, businesses, and tourist attractions.
As usual, Tulip Time will feature food stalls, a carnival, musical performances (including Scotty McCreary), historical walking tours, parades, dancing, sailboat tours, an artisan market, quilt shows, flower arranging and more.
