IRVINE, Calif. – April 1 – The U.S. National Water Polo Team and the Australian Women’s Senior National Team have announced their travel rosters ahead of a three-game series that begins this Sunday in Santa Barbara. The roster for each of the three games will be determined prior to the start of each game.Both teams boast many talented veterans, with Team USA featuring a core of returning Olympic champions. Maggie Stephens, ashley johnson, Maddie Musselman, rachel fattal, Kayley Gilchrist and Amanda Longan. Australia’s team features a variety of familiar names from the NCAA ranks, including Tillie Kearns (USC), Bronte Harrigan (UCLA) and Danijela Jakovic (Stanford). See below for the complete list.
The series begins April 7 at 2 p.m. at Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta, California.The opening game will be the world champion’s homecoming. Ryan Neuschl She played water polo in Dos Pueblos in high school and grew up in the area.
From there, both teams will travel to Long Beach City College in Long Beach to meet on April 9th at 6 p.m. The teams will conclude the match at noon on Saturday, April 13th at the William Woollett Aquatics Center in Irvine. With just 100 days until the 2024 Paris Games, Team USA will return to the pool and take on China in three consecutive games starting April 20 in Huntington Beach.
