Track your child’s Android phone with the Find My Device app

You can now track your child’s Android phone using Google’s Find My Device app. Previously, this feature was only possible through the Family Link app for Android. This new feature simplifies things mentally as the device that finds your device can also find your child’s device.

Track your child’s Android phone using Google’s Find My Device app

Google’s Find My Device app now allows you to track devices used by children in your family. You can find such devices in the Family Devices tab in the latest version of the app (v3.1.078-1). However, this new feature can only track supervised Google accounts (mainly for children). If you have more than one such device, they will be listed in alphabetical order.

To use this feature, the Google Account used to set up the device must be linked to a Family Link account.

The feature was added in a new update to the Find My Device app, but it’s not the only feature it has, and it has also been reported that the app has undergone some internal changes to support object location tracking devices with ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity, such as the Galaxy SmartTag 2.
