Tilta has released the Tilta Khronos ecosystem, a line of accessories designed specifically for iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max smartphones. The core of this system is a custom-made iPhone case made from aluminum alloy. This case connects to his USB-C port on his iPhone and has multiple integrated circuits/ports around it so you can connect and power accessories without cables. So let’s take a closer look at all parts of the Tilta Khronos ecosystem!
Tirta released “The X Gift” in December 2023. This short film was shot entirely by Angie Hsu on her iPhone 15 Pro and by her Oscar-winning DoP Claudio Miranda, ASC. This promotional film also teased her upcoming ecosystem of accessories for the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, which was scheduled to begin shipping at the end of January 2024. However, it took a little longer than expected for Tilta to finalize the design. But the time has finally come. Tilta Khronos bundles and accessories are now available to order.
Tilta Khronos Cage for iPhone 15 Pro/15 Pro Max
Let’s start with a key component of the Tilta Khronos ecosystem: the cage for the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. These cages are made of aluminum alloy, come in Space Gray and Titanium White colors, and don’t add much weight to your phone. 69.5 g/2.45 oz for the 15 Pro model and 83 g/2.92 oz for the 15 Pro Max model. To install the case, you will need a screwdriver to secure the phone in place with the four screws. This ensures that the case and all included accessories remain securely attached.

The case features multiple attachment points, including a unique locking clamp mechanism for attaching handles, filters, USB-C hubs, and more, but more on that later.

As you can see from the image, multiple electronic contacts are integrated. These contacts allow you to power accessories through the cage without cables. However, these ports are powered using an optional power handle rather than directly from the iPhone. Finally, the back of the case features large mounting points that are MagSafe compatible.
