When Tiger Woods announced his departure from Nike, he assured fans he was working on something. Just a month later, the 15-time major champion and 82-time PGA winner wears his red on Sunday, a new and improved standard for his fashion, “performance wear and luxury lifestyle.” I made my debut.
Sunday Red is an extension of Woods’ existing partnership with TaylorMade and references his iconic look worn during the final round of golf tournaments. Fans will get to see Woods appear in Sunday Red for the first time in the opening round of the Genesis Invitational, his first PGA Tour appearance since the Masters last April.
“Tiger Woods in red on Sunday. It’s an image etched in golf history. As iconic as his swing, as legendary as his victories,” the brand said in a statement. It has said. “Tiger’s mother Kultida, who was a strong believer in lucky colors, saw red as a symbol of strength and control. Her belief was solidified when Tiger started winning with red.”
From what we’ve seen so far, this collection includes both breathable, temperature-regulating pieces for the gym, as well as luxurious products for the course and everyday wear. Featuring a sleek, minimalist aesthetic, the range spans apparel, headwear, gloves and footwear.
“I’ve learned a lot over the years and have a lifetime of experience making adjustments based on apparel and shoe construction to help me play better,” Woods, 48, said in a news release. “There are some things I can say that no one knew I did all these years ago. I’m ready to share those secrets with the world.”
Sun Day Red is scheduled to launch online in the U.S. and Canada on May 1, 2024. After that, we plan to expand to the global market with products for women and children.
