Two more ranked teams lost their undefeated records last week, and another top program survived its first scare of the season.
Pomona Pitzer started 2024 with an impressive 9-0 record, but was unable to make it through Easter weekend with 0 in the loss column. She lost 13-6 to Williams, ending her upward trend.
Stevens also saw his perfect record come undone. The Ducks also lost the game in heartbreaking fashion. They lost 11-10 to Amherst, which has been in the top 20 of U.S. Lacrosse Division III women’s top 20 for some time now.
Meanwhile, top-ranked Middlebury faced a big challenge at Wesleyan, another program that continues to impress. Wesleyan trailed Middlebury by eight points in the fourth quarter, but the Panthers narrowly escaped and won 12-10.
See how these scores and others from this week impact the top 20.
