TripAdvisor also uses traveler reviews that include terms that refer to sustainability, such as “green,” “ecotourism,” and “waste reduction” to identify the world’s most sustainable cities. While no American cities make TripAdvisor’s initial list, Montreal, Canada is the only destination in the Americas to make the list.
