Teresa Garcia, a family and consumer science agent in Trigg County, realized she was extremely busy in late 2023 when her Candy class attracted more than 40 participants and created four separate classes. I noticed that.
She says 2024 is off to a great start, with planned programs just around the corner.
First up is a money management class called “Bang For Your Buck.” This will be held on Wednesday, February 7th from 1:30pm to 2:30pm at Johnson’s Tyler Community Room on Lincoln Avenue.
Next up is a series of baking classes on biscuits, quick breads, and yeast breads. They are set to resolve any situation on Monday from 1pm to 3pm on February 26th, March 4th, and March 18th, respectively.
A Big Blue Book Club will also be established this spring and will work with all extension offices across the commonwealth, she added.
She currently has four housewives clubs that she says are “busy and active” and “filled with fun, amazing women and always doing something exciting.”
On March 8, Garcia said she plans to go with him to Christian County Extension to learn about Italian cuisine.
It is best to register for these events or join the housewives. To do so, call TCEO (270) 522-3269, follow the Trigg County Cooperative Extension Family & Consumer Sciences Facebook page, or email Garcia (teresa). .garcia@kysu.edu.
The office is located at 2657 Hopkinsville Road in Cadiz.
