I won’t go back to the smaller SE, but let’s stop and dream for a moment. What if some, if not all, of the latest iPhone technology was crammed back into the smaller iPhone SE? Can it fill the iPhone mini hole in Apple’s lineup?

Look, I understand. Large cell phones are the norm these days. It’s inevitable. Everyone wants to watch and capture content on the biggest, brightest screen possible.
Still, I can’t help but think there is. still Space for iPhone mini. The look of the first generation iPhone SE is timeless to me. If it was released in 2024 with some tweaks, no one would blink twice at the outdated design for a cheap phone.
Imagine a high-end iPhone equivalent with a design inspired by the first-generation iPhone SE, but with an iPhone 15 Pro screen and two additional camera lenses. If the rumors of USB-C and the iPhone 16 Pro’s “capture” button are true, we’ll have a 4-inch iPhone that’s perfect for the modern era.
I will give my best to this. Admittedly, the mini design of the iPhone 12 and 13 didn’t work. But if it takes the best design of the past decade and differentiates itself from the flagship iPhones, it might find something appealing to many people, including me. .
Granted, there are rumors that the iPhone SE 4 will have a 6.1-inch screen, so this ship may have already sailed, but I can’t help but feel it’s the wrong direction. I can’t. The handset looks like this: small, not big. What’s the point in a range if everything pretty much conforms to one style and size? It was designed to appeal.
