Tesla has announced the latest price increase for one of its vehicles, and this time Tesla plans to increase the price of its Model Y economy-level SUV in several European countries.
Tesla announced on Saturday that it will increase the price of the Model Y across European countries on Friday, March 22, as noted in a post on X in the company’s Europe and Middle East account. Tesla also announced that the price increase will be around 2,000 euros (about $2,180), or about $2,180 in local currency, just weeks after the automaker reversed a temporary price cut to raise the price of the model in the North American market. In the post, Tesla also shared a link to its website, where the automaker says it takes just two minutes to order a vehicle and will lock in the Model Y’s current price before raising prices. The news comes as the first quarter of this year draws to a close this month, and after Tesla’s temporary $1,000 discount on the Model Y in North America that ended earlier this month. Tesla also began raising prices in Germany and Norway in February, applying to all three configurations of the SUV.
