Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) President Frederick Lartey Otu has been appointed Vice-Chairman of the World Taekwondo Africa (WTAF) Para Taekwondo Committee.
The appointment, made last week, comes after Larty Otu was appointed to the Education Committee at this year’s Morocco Convention and also served as Councilor for the West Zone from 23 June 2017 to 2021. , his third position at WTAF. .
Apart from these portfolios, Laati Otu, a Senior Customs Officer with the Ghana Revenue Authority, holds the position of Vice-President of the Ghana National Paralympic Committee and Treasurer of the Ghana Olympic Committee.
WTAF President and World Taekwondo Vice-President, General Ahmed Fourie, was optimistic that with Laati Otu’s ability and expertise, he would do a great job promoting martial arts in Ghana in particular and Africa as a whole.
In an interview with TalksenseSports, Laati Otu said: “The news of my appointment is timely given the fact that I was elected as the Vice-President of the Ghana National Paralympic Committee on June 6, 2019.
