In today’s dynamic real estate landscape, the essence of a home goes far beyond its physical structure. After nearly 20 years in the industry, my philosophy revolves around the concept of “selling a lifestyle.”

I am known for using #changingpeopleslifestyle on my social platforms. That’s because my approach goes beyond just finding homes for my clients. It’s about matching their aspirations with the perfect space and making sure every inch of their new home resonates with the lifestyle they’ve dreamed of.


So how can you start selling lifestyle? Let’s dive in.

Understand the significance of selling lifestyle

The concept of selling a lifestyle is about integration: blending the client’s vision of life with the specific elements of the home. It’s not just the number of bedrooms or the square footage. It’s about how sunlight hits your kitchen counter or what your future backyard will look like where your kids will play.

This approach transforms your real estate search into a journey to improve your life, not just to acquire a property.

The inspiration for a lifestyle-centered sales strategy is very human. It comes from the connection with the client. A privileged insight into their lives and the trust they place in us. These connections allow us to customize not only a home, but a future that perfectly matches the chapter of life they envision.

Discover your lifestyle preferences

The first meeting is important to find out what the client wants. Whether it’s in the office or over coffee or cocktails, environments are chosen that make clients feel comfortable and encourage open dialogue. By listening intently to their wishes, you can tailor your property options to suit their lifestyle.

Incorporate lifestyle into your sales approach

This approach is immersive. When customers walk into a property, they’re not just touring the rooms, they’re anticipating the future memories they’ll make in the home. If our clients like to entertain or cook for friends and family, we don’t just show them the kitchen. We will guide you through what these gatherings will look like across our facilities. This approach brings their desired lifestyle one step closer to reality.


I remember working with a couple who moved to Las Vegas from Oregon. Their top priorities were easy access to hiking trails, a vibrant outdoor living space, and a strong sense of connection to the community. When I showed them a house that checked all of these boxes, they could immediately envision the lifestyle I described and made an offer on the house without hesitation.

Evolution of lifestyle sales

Since 2020, homes have taken on multifaceted roles as offices, entertainment hubs, and health and wellness sanctuaries, adapting to evolving needs and lifestyles. Pew Research Center It notes that one-third of U.S. workers are now permanently working from home.

The old paradigm of home sales has changed. Now, each sale is focused on selling a vision rather than a physical asset. It is about painting a picture where work-life balance, leisure and personal growth coexist. We no longer just sell space. We carefully select the background for our clients’ future memories and milestones.
