St. Paul life sciences incubator names new executive director – Twin Cities

University Enterprise Labs in St. Paul is a life sciences incubator and accelerator that provides laboratory space and scientific equipment rentals to companies in the fields of biotechnology, medical technology, Tuftec, and agricultural technology.

In his new role, Ramey will oversee operations, investment strategies, programs and partnerships for the 150,000-square-foot facility, according to a news release.

“Starting a company is really hard, and finding lab space to prove what you’re working on is even harder early in your journey,” Rahmy said in a release. “We are excited to take UEL to the next level, allowing us to further enhance our contribution to Minnesota’s thriving life sciences ecosystem.”

Mr. Larmy, who holds a degree in biological sciences, previously held positions at Children’s Hospital of Minnesota, ChRi Laboratories, an analytical testing laboratory, and the pharmaceutical company Novartis.

“We have ambitious goals for the next phase of UEL in terms of our mission to foster the next generation of life sciences companies in Minnesota and support economic growth in the Twin Cities,” said UEL Board Chair. said Barbara Nelsen in a release. “To do that, we need an equally ambitious and qualified leader. We are thrilled to have Brad at his helm at UEL.”

UEL, located at 1000 Westgate Drive in St. Paul, has more than 35 wet, dry and clinical labs for scientific research and development.

Since its founding in 2005, UEL has supported more than 175 startups and currently has 65 tenant companies working on projects ranging from medical devices and diagnostic tools to robotics and atmospheric carbon capture. is.
