Miguel Ángel Gimeno, currently VY’s Ground Operations Director, has been appointed CEO of SOEGS. Jimeno has extensive experience in airport management. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Zaragoza (ZAZ) and his MBA from IESE Business School. He has spent most of his career with VY for the past 17 years. In addition to serving as ground operations director for VY, he has also held positions as OCC director, crew member and in-flight services director for a low-cost carrier.

The company will have operational autonomy and will integrate Iberia’s current airport division employees, who will maintain the terms of the Iberia Agreement and retain all rights.
