Sivaraja Ramanathan appointed to top post at TANSIM

The Tamil Nadu government has appointed Sivarajah Ramanathan as the CEO of the Tamil Nadu Startup Innovation Mission (TANSIM) with the mandate to strengthen the startup ecosystem in the state. .

He is scheduled to take office in the first week of January 2022.

Mr. Ramanathan is the Founder and CEO of Nativelead Foundation, which has mentored hundreds of startups across tier 2 and 3 cities in Tamil Nadu.

We also fund innovative startups through the Native Angels Network, and in September this year, Chennai Angels (TCA) co-invested with the Native Angels Network in startups across Tamil Nadu. I signed a contract to do so.

“Startups are a specialized field that requires in-depth knowledge, continuous interaction with young people and businesses, and coordination with private equity, venture capital and other investors. TANSIM, also known as Startup TN, is working to make Tamil Nadu an innovation-driven economy. Its mission is to be the driving force behind startups. It aims to build a strong, viable and vibrant startup ecosystem that creates jobs and develops economic growth.

Recently, TANSIM announced grants of Rs 500,000 each to 19 startups in the state through the Tamil Nadu Startup Seed Grant Fund (TANSEED).
