There’s nothing more fun than hearing a song somewhere in the world and firing up Shazam to find out what it’s all about. However, if you’re using a smartwatch with Wear OS and don’t have an Android smartphone with you (perhaps while you’re running), you’re out of luck.
The Shazam team seems to be aware of this issue. 9to5Googlethe app has been updated with important features, including the ability to Shazam songs without the need for a paired Android smartphone.
The company said in its release notes that the watch no longer requires a phone to recognize songs, enabling a new way to scan for songs when you don’t have your phone with you. All he had to do was activate Shazam on his Wear OS smartwatch and he was ready to go.

But that’s not all the Shazam team has done with this update. This app not only works without a phone, but now also works without a mobile phone or Wi-Fi connection. The company says that if you are offline, the app will save your recordings, find the songs and notify you when you come back online.
