Last month, we saw a PerfectRec report showing that customer satisfaction for the iPhone 15 Pro/Max was lower than the iPhone 15/Plus. For the first time, Samsung has been able to achieve higher customer satisfaction ratings for the new Galaxy S24 series than the current iPhone lineup, according to the company’s latest data.
As a refresher, PerfectRec collects user-generated reviews on Google and determines the percentage of reviews that receive a 5 out of 5 star rating.
Although the iPhone 15 Pro’s ratings were lower than the iPhone 14 Pro and 13 Pro, customer satisfaction with the latest professional iPhone has significantly decreased as of January 2024.
The Samsung S24 lineup has been on sale for just under a month now, and we’ve got reviews from early adopters. PerfectRec says his 5-star percentage for new Galaxy smartphones has surpassed his iPhone for the first time.
- 91% of S24/+ reviews and 88% of S24 Ultra reviews give the device 5 stars.
- PerfectRec says, “These customer satisfaction numbers are much higher than Samsung’s previous generation of Samsung Galaxy S phones.”

There is one thing to keep in mind. The new Galaxy smartphones were just launched in January, so the sample size for the iPhone 15/Pro review is much larger than the S24 device. PerfectRec will therefore monitor whether and how customer satisfaction changes with Samsung’s new phones.
But for now, Samsung’s early adopters are happier than iPhone 15 owners.
