SAMSUNG has brought back a long-forgotten battery setting to millions of Android smartphones.

Newer One UI 6 smartphones lacked the “Since last charge” feature on the battery usage page.

This has made it difficult to calculate battery life on Galaxy smartphones, as the statistics show consumption over the past 24 hours, rather than the last charge.

After many complaints, this feature is back in the battery menu.

This change was revealed in the latest Device Care release for Galaxy devices.

Android watcher Tarun Vats announced the news regarding X.

He said, “Samsung heard your cries and brought back the last full charge screen in One UI 6 on time with a new Device Care update (v13.8.06.11)!”

The metrics shown under “Since last charge” do not require the device to be fully charged.

When you charge your phone’s battery to 80%, it will display the power consumption from that level.

This comes after Samsung customers were warned last month that they would lose all wallet functionality.

The South Korean company has begun warning millions of Galaxy users that their phones will no longer support Samsung Wallet.

Last year, Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass were combined into a single app called Samsung Wallet, which is the same as Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.

This allows people to connect a digital version of their bank card to their mobile phone and make tap payments on the go.

Virtual wallets have become an essential part of people’s lives in the UK and US, with almost every store and transport system supporting tap payments.

With Samsung Wallet, you can also add loyalty/membership cards, bus/air/train tickets, gift cards, digital keys, and government-approved IDs.

However, this important feature will soon stop working on Galaxy smartphones running Android 9.0 and earlier starting March 15, 2024.

The closure will begin in Canada, but it’s secretly expected to roll out to Samsung users in the US and UK soon.
