TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo gave his predictions for the color options of the iPhone 16 lineup, which will be released in fall 2024.
iPhone 16 Pro could come in rose titanium color
In a post on X, Ming-Chi Kuo predicted the colors Apple will use for the upcoming iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max models.
He believes the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will maintain the same color options as the existing iPhone 15 lineup, with one exception. Black, green, pink, and blue should all be similar to existing options.
Kuo believes the pale yellow color of the current option will be replaced by what he calls “white.” This could possibly be a color that Apple tends to call “starlight,” a whitish-gold hue.
For the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models, Kuo predicts that there will be “natural titanium,” “black titanium,” and “white titanium” options, similar to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. However, the current “Blue Titanium” option will be discontinued.
He believes a new ‘Rose Titanium’ will be chosen to replace it. Kuo hedges the risk by noting that Apple may rename existing color options, even if they’re the same shade as before.
His predictions may at least suggest that he doesn’t expect the overall external design of the iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max models to change significantly. Apple Insider previously reported that Apple may be planning to give each model in the iPhone 16 series a unique chassis size.
According to the rumored plan, the iPhone 16 will retain its traditional 6.1-inch screen size, while the Plus will remain at a 6.7-inch screen size. However, the iPhone 16 Pro grows to a 6.3-inch screen size, and the Pro Max rises to his 6.9-inch screen size.
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 16 lineup at its September event.
