High-level dialogue between WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk
The world is embroiled in multiple crises, from disasters to conflicts to the climate emergency, threatening the right to health and facing exclusion and vulnerability for millions of people around the world. People are suffering the most.
The event, which marks the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the World Health Organization, will consider how to continue to advance the human right to health in the face of serious emergencies.
In this dialogue, WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk will join human rights activists, policy makers, health workers and other stakeholders to promote the right to human rights advocacy. We will discuss how to protect it. Health and other health-related human rights in a world in turmoil. Explore how policymakers can uphold international commitments and discuss actions to take at global, national and local levels to realize the right to health for everyone, everywhere.
