iPhone users can easily send files between all their Apple devices using AirDrop. Quick Share lets you enjoy the same kind of easy sharing on your Android device and Windows PC. This intuitive feature, now branded as Nearby Share, simplifies the process to be as easy as tapping a button.
I tried using Nearby Share in the past, but it wasn’t supported on any of the Windows PCs I was using. Only a handful of PCs have ever run the Nearby Share app. In contrast, Quick Share enables file sharing. all Windows computers running 64-bit versions of Windows 10 or later, and all Android devices running Android 6 or later. It leverages Bluetooth and WiFi to create a fast, end-to-end encrypted connection between devices, allowing you to transfer photos, videos, documents, and more with just a few taps.

In addition to 1:1 sharing, Quick Share supports sharing with multiple devices simultaneously. So if you’re working on a project with colleagues, you can easily share files with everyone at once, or share photos with friends and family.
How to use Quick Share
Just enable Quick Share on both devices and start sharing files. During testing, I was able to set up and run the transfer in just a few minutes.
Android initial settings
First, swipe down the screen of your Android smartphone,[クイック設定]Access the panel. Tap the tile to enable quick sharing (it’s still labeled “Nearby Share” on your device for now).
For added security, we recommend setting your device visibility to “Your device.” This restricts sharing to devices linked to your Google Account and allows transfers without requiring each person’s approval. If you know you’ll be sending files to other people on a regular basis, Contacts is the way to go. We recommend using “Everyone” only in temporary mode. This mode will time out after a few minutes. This will ensure that your phone or device does not become a target of cyberflash.
Initial Windows setup
Download and install the Quick Share app on your Windows PC. To link both devices, make sure you’re signed in to your Android device with the same Google Account. As with Android smartphones, we recommend limiting visibility to “Your device” or “Contacts.”

Once setup is complete, make sure Quick Share is enabled for reception on your Android device and that the Quick Share app is running on your Windows PC. Installing an app is not enough.
For Android,[クイック共有]icon (or Nearby Share icon) and select the target device from the list.
On a Windows PC, open the Quick Share app and select the files you want to share (you can choose by drag and drop or from a folder). Then select the receiving device.

Quick Share is the simplest file sharing solution I’ve found for securely transferring files between Android devices and Windows PCs. Easy setup, lightning-fast speeds, and robust security features make it an ideal choice for everyone.
