District competition between the Rams and 49ers has been suspended for Sunday’s 2024 Pro Bowl game.
However, a ceasefire did not materialize on the ground. The 49ers did not participate as they are scheduled to play in Super Bowl 58 next week.
Instead, Rams wideout Puka Nacua did a favor to a 49ers fan who asked for his autograph after the NFC defeated the AFC 64-59 in the Pro Bowl game.

A fan reached out to Nacua with Deebo Samuel, and the Rams receiver prepared to sign it. However, he paused for a moment and appeared to be contemplating whether he should continue signing.
In the end, I decided to do it while reasoning out loud.
“It’s tough, but it’s okay,” he said. “You’re going to the Super Bowl, so I’ll give it to you.”

It was a more than decent gesture from Nacua, one of many he made after the Pro Bowl. Many people who attended the games noted that Nacua often stayed after the event and autographed anything fans asked for autographs.
That included an iPhone, which Nacua jokingly signed.
“I want a new iPhone,” he said.
Was Nacua threatening to take fans’ phones away, or was he aiming to get sponsored by Apple? Considering how close he was to Laura Rutledge’s microphone when he spoke, it seems likely he was the latter. It is highly likely that he was doing so.

Either way, Nacua was one of the biggest Pro Bowl winners. Not only did he win the NFL’s Best Catch contest, but he attracted even more fans after his breakout rookie season. Nacua said in his post-game interview that he didn’t want to disappoint the young fans because he was the type of kid waiting for autographs.
With his first NFL season officially over, Nacua can head into the offseason feeling great about everything he accomplished.
