The Vita3K team yesterday released an update to the Android version of the emulator. This release also marks the one-year anniversary of his Android version of the emulator, and the Vita3K team has published the Android source on github to celebrate. Vita3K 11 for Android includes significant bug fixes and rendering improvements.
Of course, Windows, Linux and MacOS versions of the emulator are still available and updated daily through automatic builds (download links below)
What is Vita3K?
Vita3K is a PS Vita emulator. The official readme describes it as “an experimental PlayStation Vita emulator for Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android.” Vita3K emulator supports OpenGL and Vulkan. (For Android, Vulkan 1.0 is required)
Android builds continue to improve by leaps and bounds with each release. Generally, as emulators advance, they should be compatible with more devices.
Vita3K – New features in Vita3K Android v11

Vita3K Android Release 11 changelog (not complete list):
- Reverts some shader optimizations from the previous release (due to a bug in the Turnip driver…)
- Fixed some issues with MSAA 2x handling and fixed graphics issues (partial blurring) in some Nihon Falcon games.
- Allow custom drivers and renderers to be configured differently for each game
- Fixed several crashes when installing games/custom drivers
- Use the static version of ffmpeg now that the Android version is open source
Rebased on PC version:
- Implements fractional upscaling, allowing games to be rendered at 1.25x, 1.5x (or 0.5x) of their original resolution (Macdu)
- Added an FPS hack option that allows some games running at 30 FPS on PS Vita to run at 60 fps on the emulator (e.g. Ys 8, GoW, Uncharted) (Macdu)
- Language updates (Corden, nishinji)
- Multiple fixes (bookmist)
- Use hardware-accelerated decryption: nearly 10x faster game installations (Macdu)
- Improved depth/stencil identification: Fixed shadows in Gravity Rush (Macdu)
- Use paths instead of wide strings for paths (bookmist)
- Improved path support on Linux (Steveice10)
- Place audio parameters in new audio tab (Zangetsu)
- Added PS vita audio/video folder access and crash fix (bookmist)
- Fixed export of sRGB PNG textures (dima)
This update brings some QoL improvements and some bug fixes.
