Former President Donald J. Trump is the special guest speaker at the Buckeye Values PAC rally in Dayton, Ohio, the day after his criminal trial was postponed.
Trump is in the state to support the campaign of car dealership owner Bernie Moreno, who is gaining support in the state’s Senate primary on Tuesday. The former president is heading into an unusually competitive Republican primary race between three candidates, with Moreno holding a narrow lead.
The campaign ended after supporters of Moreno’s rival circulated an Associated Press article revealing that the businessman’s email was registered to the sexual dating site Adult Friend Finder. Things have gotten particularly ugly over the past week. Not to be outdone, Moreno’s supporters also launched a mailer accusing fellow Republican candidate and conservative Frank LaRose of being a close ally of the LGBT+ community.
Additionally, this week has been a busy week for Donald Trump’s criminal case.
Judge Juan Melchan has ruled to postpone a hush money trial in New York for 30 days from today — its original start date was March 31 — after a significant amount of new evidence was submitted for both parties to consider. It was the 25th of the month.

People could be seen streaming out of the venue as soon as Trump began speaking.
Minutes after former President Donald J. Trump took the stage, the crowd at the event began to leave. John Bowden, a correspondent for the event, said attendees were choosing to leave because they wanted to avoid traffic jams. In one case, a woman said she wanted a beer.
Trump has made several offensive comments about President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party. He called Biden a “stupid” and in some cases said Democrats are “not human.”

SCOTUS rules that public officials who block critics on social media can sometimes be sued
The Supreme Court ruled unanimously on Friday that public officials can be sued for blocking critics on social media. The issue first surfaced in the high court in a case involving then-President Donald Trump.
Justice Amy Coney Barrett, writing for the court, said officials who use personal accounts to issue public statements may not have the freedom to delete comments about those statements or block critics altogether. He said he could not.
Meanwhile, Barrett wrote, “State employees have private lives and constitutional rights.”
