Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that if he is no longer given the top post, his photo will disappear from the archives like “horns on a donkey’s head”, and despite being a party member, he was unable to serve five terms. The 64-year-old Bharatiya Janata Party leader resigned as CM last month and his party colleague Mohan Yadav took over the top post following the saffron party’s landslide victory in the state polls.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday visited Mr. Chouhan’s residence in the state capital, naming it ‘Mama Ka Ghar’.
After the meeting, Yadav said that during his long tenure as CM, Chouhan had implemented several welfare schemes in the state, especially for girls and women.
“I have come to discuss these plans. We will take all these plans forward,” Yadav said.
Earlier this month, Mr. Chouhan, addressing a rally in Shahganj town, Budni Assembly constituency in Sehore district, said that one can go into “vanvas” (exile) while waiting for “raj tilak” (coronation). .
