In a technological revelation that seems to be blowing people’s minds, you can now drag emojis into text boxes on your iPhone.
If you’ve been using X/Twitter for the past few days, you might have seen that many people have discovered that they can drag and hold emojis into text boxes on WhatsApp.
Even better, the Messages app allows you to use emojis as “stickers” and add them to your messages to further emphasize your point. You can do the same with apps like X/Twitter.
Many accounts on X/Twitter have been posting about this discovery, which appears to be distorting some people’s sense of reality. Influencers The Volos Twins wrote, “It’s been years since we found out today that you can take emojis and drag them into text boxes!”
Another wrote: “How old were you today when you learned you could drag emojis into text boxes on your iPhone?”
Is this a new feature?
according to CNBCThe iOS 17 update introduced in October 2023 now allows users to add stickers to iPhone messages, allowing them to be dragged and dropped into any part of the conversation.
If you want to try it out for yourself, open any text-based app that’s suitable for communicating with friends and family, find the emoji you want, and drag and drop it.
This happened after it was discovered that hidden Wifi settings on iPhones were draining owners’ batteries after the iPhones reverted to 4G/5G data settings.
