Google launched its Find My Device network this week and will soon support tracker devices. As a result, Pebblebee says his Find My Device has resulted in the highest sales since the company’s inception.
Android’s Find My Device network is very similar to Apple’s Find My network. Android smartphones around the world can detect offline devices, such as trackers, and report them to the device owner to help find lost items. But unlike Apple, which manufactures its own AirTags, Google doesn’t sell first-party trackers (at least not yet).
At launch, the Find My Device network was supported by a small number of trackers from Chipolo and Pebblebee, with the latter saying it was a huge success since launch.
talk to 9to5Google, Pebblebee says the launch of Android’s Find My Device network pushed its sales to the highest since the company first launched the service in 2013. Although specific numbers were not disclosed, the company said it had seen “10x growth” since Google’s launch.
Pebblebee trackers for Find My Device networks start at $29.99 and include three devices: a tag, card, and clip. All three can be paired with Android to work on a network, and technically they can also work with iOS’ Find My network if set up on an iPhone.
Pebblebee’s new trackers begin shipping in May.
