SALEM, Va. (WFXR) — Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine named Parkway Brewing in Salem a top post-adventure thirst quencher.
The magazine considered a brewery’s location the main factor for inclusion on this list. His 12,700-acre Carvin’s Cove Nature Preserve in Roanoke is minutes from Interstate 81 and about 10 miles from downtown Salem. The cove is home to a 630-acre reservoir and a 130-mile trail system centered around the peaks of Tinker Mountain and Brushy Mountain, which rise over 2,500 feet.
The magazine calls the brewery a “jewel watering hole” just off the Roanoke Valley Greenway. They also say they have the coolest outdoor patio and beer garden in the Blue Ridge area.
“Weekend visitors can expect top local bands, food trucks, and a daily menu of 20 seasonal and classic beers,” the magazine said about Parkway Brewery. “Craft enthusiasts will be pleased with Parkway’s recently installed pilot brewing system, which offers innovative small batch beers such as Mexican Mole Stout, Lupulin Powder IPA, and Fruit Kettle Sour.”
Since opening on Kessler Mill Road in 2013, Parkway Brewing Company has not only created some of the best-tasting beer in the state, but also brought together a community of like-minded, free-spirited beer drinkers and created a bond. We have created a place where we have deepened our values. outdoors.
