NWA Space, a nonprofit organization, is currently raising money to build a science center in northwest Arkansas. The proposed center would include a 150-seat planetarium, an observatory, interactive laboratories, and permanent science exhibit facilities.
An overview of NWA Space: Website, the center is intended to be a place for all ages to come together and explore science, and will be ideally located along Interstate 49 and connected to the area by bike and hiking trails. is. The science center complements the area as a series of buildings. NWA Space hopes to break ground on the project within three years and open within five years.
The facility aims to educate and support young people interested in future careers in science and technology. The center can also host middle school, high school, and college field trips focused on science, technology, and design, and the planetarium can also host science-related shows and encourage exploration. It also includes robotics competitions, conferences, and traveling exhibits.
