SAN ANTONIO — Esports, digital art, gaming, and food trucks. All of this and more will come together at his STEAM Fest at the Northwest School of Science and Technology on March 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The entire community is welcomed to the school’s second annual event, which combines engineering, rocketry, coding, art and other technologies with hands-on STEM experiences. The event focuses on technology because this generation of children has access to rapidly changing technology that they can use to take it to the next level.
“It’s going to be for art and music. Technology has evolved a lot over the years, so we wanted to incorporate even more technology into this event,” said Minerva Carrasco, technology teacher and robotics coach. he said.
“We really wanted to showcase what these kids have been doing all year long. They were in the gifted program,” said sixth grade teacher Casey Tapia. . We also had a rocket launched. So I think that will happen at this Steamfest as well. ”
