Google’s experimental AI assistant Gemini seems to be getting more useful by the day. In the latest update of Gemini app on Google Play Store, Google has given some new skills when it comes to navigation.
As reported by 9to5Google, the Google Gemini app received a Play Store update on March 25th. This update brings the app to version 1.0.618909562, and the changelog includes the following note: “When you ask for directions, Gemini automatically starts navigating with his Google Maps.”
Apart from this additional benefit, Gemini includes several updates in this version, including the ability to set reminders and calendar events via commands. This is something we’ve been able to do for years with Google Assistant, but here we’re going to give Gemini the benefit of the doubt. After all, it’s a fairly new app. Make sure the “Workspace” extension is turned on in Gemini’s settings.
