NASA Exoplanet Science Institute — NexSci
NASA’s Exoplanet Science Institute is seeking proposals to use NASA time on the two 10-meter Keck telescopes during the 2024B observing semester (August 1, 2024 – January 31, 2025).
The opportunity to propose as a Principal Investigator at NASA’s Keck Telescope is open to all U.S.-based astronomers. Researchers from institutions outside the United States may participate as collaborators in NASA Keck Time proposals.
NASA intends the use of the Keck telescope to be highly strategic, supporting ongoing space missions and high-priority long-term science goals. Proposals are being sought in the following areas:
(1) OUR OWN SOLARSYSTEM STUDY. (2) Research that supports the science goals and missions of exoplanet exploration. (3) Research that supports the scientific goals and mission of COSMICORIGINS. (4) Research that supports the scientific goals and mission of PHYSICS OF THECOSMOS. Proposals for direct mission support in any of these scientific areas are also encouraged.
All proposals are expected to be submitted to NExScI by March 14, 2024 at 4:00 PM PDT.
