NASA Administrator Bill Nelson will discuss recent scientific research aboard the International Space Station with astronauts living and working in the Microgravity Laboratory on Wednesday, February 21 at 10:35 a.m. EST. We plan to discuss technology demonstration.

During the Earth-to-space call, the leaders and crew will discuss a technology experiment to demonstrate the capabilities of a small robot remotely controlled from its home planet to perform surgery in space. They also focused on research focused on bone loss in space, which has the potential to better understand the mechanisms behind age-related bone loss on Earth, as well as more detailed research conducted in microgravity laboratories. We will also focus on long-term research.

Coverage of the event will be available on NASA+, NASA Television, and the NASA website. Learn how to stream NASA TV through various platforms, including social media.

The International Space Station is a hub for scientific research and technology demonstration. NASA and its partners continue to make the most of the space station, where astronauts have lived and worked continuously for more than 23 years, tested technology, conducted research, and designed future projects in low-Earth orbit. has developed the skills needed to operate commercial destinations and explore further afield. Earth. Research conducted on the space station benefits people on Earth and paves the way for future long-distance trips to the Moon and beyond through NASA’s Artemis mission.
