Meizu has announced that it is “fully committed to AI” and the company is fully committed to manufacturing Android smartphones.
For more than a decade, Meizu has been selling Android smartphones from China with wild ideas. In 2019, for example, the company showed off a device with no charging ports or buttons (which was a huge flop). Prior to that, Meizu also tried to enter the US market quite aggressively, but it did not make a big splash. The company still sells smartphones, but it’s by no means a major player in key markets.
But in a post this week, Meizu announced a big change.

The Meizu 20 series released last year will be the company’s last “traditional” Android launch, and the Meizu 21 series will not arrive.
