MCS has released the Resource Mobile app on iOS and Android. The MCS Resource Mobile app allows technicians and drivers on the go to complete tasks via their mobile app, providing feedback to the rental controller in the back office.
The new app has been improved to allow MCS users to track where their resources are during the day. In addition to knowing when a job has started, rental controllers can now track job progress, including when resources are actively driving and when they arrive on site.
“While the new Resource Mobile app provides immediate benefits just from the fact that it is now available on both iOS and Android devices, its big benefit comes from the increased visibility of resources on the move. “When it comes to ad hoc planning, greater visibility into work status is a game-changer,” said Josh Lewis, president of MCS USA.
The new app also includes a number of additional features to support the rental process, including customized checklists and the ability to send SMS text message alerts to let customers know when their driver or technician will be leaving.
“Feedback from users is that we were able to improve customer service by providing customers with clear, accurate and up-to-date information about technician status,” Lewis said.
The MCS Resource Mobile app can be downloaded from the App Store and Play Store.
